Tia and Tamera Mowry have been two of the few younger Black ladies on TV that I grew up with. Over the weekend, Tia determined to make a journey down reminiscence lane and evoke my nostalgia by posting photographs of the twins from the late ’90s and early 2000s — and I am unable to recover from how laid their silk presses have been again then.
On June 10, Tia posted seven throwback photographs from the late ’90s and early aughts on Instagram with the caption, “Take two on a visit down reminiscence lane of me and @tameramowrytwo iconic 90’s purple carpet seems to be… Style is so cyclical, just like the leather-based trench coats, the lengthy skirts, the capris! I really feel like I see outfits which might be comparable on a regular basis on ig these days… However I gotta know, which outfits are your favourite 👀”
The primary of the seven photographs featured the sisters on the 1998 Hurlyburly movie premiere in Los Angeles. The duo was sporting knee-high black boots with leather-based jackets (Tamera’s was a fiery purple, whereas Tia’s was black), minimal make-up, and probably the most superb of silk presses. I would like all the small print on who styled their hair and the way it was performed as a result of not a single hair was misplaced; it was as if their hair was completely humidity-resistant. Their silk presses have been doing their rattling factor at that premiere and the numerous different red-carpet occasions the sisters attended again within the day.
